Almost a decade after acquires Geek Squad, best buy consumer technology retailer has agreed to buy it is the owner and the cloud provider mindSHIFT technologies to $ 167 million.

mindSHIFT service offering managed hosting and professional services including application development, SharePoint solutions and consulting. The company also recently launched a new portfolio of cloud service called CloudShift, which includes a variety of applications such as Exchange, SharePoint and Dynamics CRM services, cloud services, server-hosted desktop offerings based on the VMware vCloud platform and voice over IP service.
Best Buy says mindSHIFT 5,400 customers and 500 employees. Such as Geek Squad, will maintain its own brand mindSHIFT management team, Best Buy said. The acquisition is scheduled to close at the end of the year.
